Tulasi "Sacred Plant'- Represents the rightous Earth Goddess. She stands for beauty, strength and virtue. Indian legends have it that Tulasi was a beautiful woman who was transformed into a plant. Thus the meaning "sacred plant".
Tulasi Music consist of seven players ranging from saxaphone, trumpet and trombone, to drum, bass and keys, with the female touch of powerful lyrics and a soulful sound. They infuse reggae, hip-hop, soul, funk and reggae. Just emerging out of the California area they truely represent the three entities of Tulasi (beauty, strenth and virtue). Tulasi has a strong affiliation with the J Ross-Parrelli foundation, where the goal is to bring music and arts back to the community and in the public school system.
